You do NOT have to be a member of the association to receive help. Relief is based on need and service, not dues.
The Disaster Tiers
Tier 1: $200 Micro-Grants: Individual cash assistance for localized emergencies to cover immediate needs like fuel or ice.
Tier 2: Major Disaster Response: Upon a catastrophic regional event, the Chapter President is authorized to mobilize up to $3,000 in Relief Cards for distribution across the impacted community. These cards are allocated based on immediate need to ensure as many families as possible receive support.
*Note: Receipts are required for all disbursements to ensure 501(c)(3) audit compliance.
The CGTLEA NOLA Chapter is a primary regional arm of the Coast Guard Tactical Law Enforcement Association. While we manage the immediate, rapid-response $3,000 Resiliency Blocks for our local units, our members and their families are also backed by the full weight of National programs:
The Emergency Assistance Fund (EAF): A rapid-response fund that provides critical financial support for travel, lodging, and funeral expenses when a member is seriously injured or killed in the line of duty.
The Nate Bruckenthal Memorial Scholarship: A high-impact scholarship program honoring the legacy of DC3 Nate Bruckenthal, providing up to $20,000 in educational benefits to the dependents of our tactical community.
Community Advocacy: National-level representation that ensures the unique needs of Deployable Specialized Forces (DSF) are recognized and supported at the highest levels of Coast Guard leadership.
By supporting the NOLA Chapter, you are ensuring that MSST NOLA, PSU 308, and Station NOLA along with other men and women in the CG Tactical Law Enforcement community have a direct, localized line to these life-changing National resources.
